Our goal is to ensure that whatever your imagined dream holiday in Africa looks like becomes a reality. So when you book, we listen: to what you ideally want and expect from your stay with us. We have tried to provide as much information as possible here, but please contact us should you have any questions at all. We want to ensure that you receive the best possible advice and guidance before you join us.
Luckily Botswana has experienced very few cases of Covid-19, and the government has worked hard to inform the nation and hinder the spread of the disease.

You will be greeted by one of our team members at Maun International Airport and taken to a private welcome area where you can relax and wait to depart for your destination. So, no crowds at the airport and no worries about getting lost or missing your connection to your destination.
From Maun you’ll either fly or drive to your destination. Our team makes sure you make your connection safely and we communicate with team members at your destination to ensure they’re ready to receive you at the airstrip or pickup point.
ARRIVAL BY AIR:
At the landing strip you will be met by Roots & Journeys team members, who will warmly welcome you with refreshments before you transfer into vehicles and/or boat (Mopiri) for the final leg of your journey to your luxury accommodation.
ARRIVAL BY VEHICLE:
Mopiri – A team member from Mopiri will meet you with refreshments at the vehicle drop off point in Etsha 6 (safe parking, if you come in your own vehicle), and drive you towards the boat launch site, before a final cruise to Mopiri.
Nokanyana – You drive directly to Nokanyana where you are met by the Roots & Journeys team, who will be waiting ready with refreshments and a warm welcome.
Our highly experienced Roots & Journeys team will accompany you on all excursions and activities, so you are always in safe hands. Have a look under the specific destinations to see what a typical day looks like.
With the hope of seeing you once again, we bid you goodbye at Maun International Airport, where you will have the option of using our private waiting area. Here you can relax in the comfort you’ve become accustomed to, before your flight home.
Food allergies/preferences – If you let us know in advance, we are happy to accommodate your preferred dietary requirements.
Special interests – If you let us know, we will (within reason and ability) go out of our way to accommodate your wishes.

While you are staying with us our team members are always on hand to assist you. Should you require urgent medical assistance, all of our properties are within easy reach of medical evacuation teams. We can communicate with rescue teams through radios and satellite phones.
